Faded Flowers
TV doesn't understand
a word that matters
these faded flowers,
precious as memory
a veil of cloud
correct as energy
we had some good machines,
but they don't work no more...

what a cute cottontail. looks like the camera is working well, no?
i wish i'd had mine loaded with the card last night...there was a raccoon about three feet away from me on the back porch...we just stared at each other for about five minutes, then it went looking for food, and i went back to bed. cute 'little" thing...although it must have weighed 25 - 30 lbs.
I actually chase the raccoons and opossums off if I see them. They have gotten way too aggressive, and the raccoons have been after the flickers while they were nesting. I caught one climbing the nesting tree with the baby in the nest, and chased it off. The young flicker fledged soon after, thankfully.
I am going to have to blog about the sharp-shinned hawk down here - saw it pluck and eat a bird it had caught today.
